A UNESCO World Heritage Site is rich in history, a town blended with African, Arab, Indian, Persian, and European cultures, following narrow streets shaded by elegant balconies and verandahs. The former slave market, the Sultan Palace, and a series of beautifully carved wooden doors, with a 30-minute shopping break, to browse for some of Zanzibar’s most distinctive souvenirs.
A half-day tour with an experienced guide to lead the way will be the best option to explore its attractions. The tour can either commences at the house of wonders or Darajani city Market and covers all the historical sites and monuments. First, our guide will take you through the house of wonder (also known as the National Museum of Zanzibar rebuilt 1883). Then, the Arab Fort (also known as the old fort), passing along bazaar streets, walk ahead towards the Feddie Mercury house, old slave market, fruit market, spice market,t and many more exciting things.
