Itinerary
A full day pleasure trip on a traditional sailing dhow starts from Fumba fishing village, the perfect starting point to explore Menai Bay, an official Conservation Area. Home to beautiful uninhabited islands, the area is spectacular, frequented by humpback and bottlenose dolphins.
Usually, we stop at Kwale sandbank, where sunshades are set up, and guests have the chance to go snorkelling in the coral reefs, helped by the guides. Afterwards, you will be offered refreshments to stimulate your appetite before heading to Kwale Island for lunch. Drinks are served throughout the day with a large selection of delicious tropical fruits, ice-cold sodas, mineral water and beer, and lunch, a buffet of delicious seafood with grilled fish, lobster, calamari, chicken, and rice.
After lunch, you can sunbathe, sleep or visit the beautiful mangrove lagoon. Depending on the tide, you may be able to take a swim in the lagoon. For those who seek adventure, join the crew to sail in a “Ngalawa,” a local outrigger canoe.
