3 Days Safari – Selous Game Reserve (Now Known as Nyerere National Park)

Pick up from Airport or Hotel in Dar es Salaam, and begin to drive down south of Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve; the drive shall take 5 to 6 hours. You will arrive in time for lunch, at around 16h00 in the evening, depart for sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji River to spotting hippos, crocodiles and birds, and enjoying the spectacular sundown.

After early breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas. Animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras and even the rare African wild dogs, are common. Picnic lunch in the mid-day, later on, return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early morning walking safari usually starts at 6 am, or 6.30 am after first-morning tea or coffee, accompanied by an armed ranger, and it will take around 2-3 hours long. After enjoying your breakfast in the morning, check out, then begin the drive back to Dar es salaam for the drop off at your hotel or airport.
