3 Days, 2 Nights Last Minute Safari – Selous Game Reserve (Now Known as Nyerere National Park)

This tour starts in Zanzibar at 07h35 to Selous Game Reserve. On arrival at 08h20, you will be met by the driver-guide, who will brief you regarding your game drive in Selous. Then, enjoy a full day game drive. You may expect to see any significant African favourites mammals, including Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Buffaloes, Zebras, Hippos, Crocodiles, and even the rare African Wild Dog. The rest of the evening will be spent at your leisure, bonfire, dinner and overnight.

After early breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas.

You will return for hot lunch and relaxation. At around 16h00 in the evening, depart for sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji River to spot hippos, crocodiles and birds, and enjoy the spectacular sundown.

Early morning walking safari usually start at 06h00 after first-morning tea or coffee, accompanied by an armed ranger, and it will take around 2 hours long. Walking safari is a fantastic way to experience more about the Selous Bushes. After enjoying your breakfast in the morning, check-out followed by transfer to Mtemere airstrip to depart on a scheduled flight at 10h00 to Zanzibar.
